When I was pregnant with my first son, I wanted to stay active, but I was lost as what to do for exercise. I didn't get a lot of guidance from medical professionals and ended up with diastasis recti (abdominal separation) After my son was born, I was just told "oh it's just cosmetic, if you really want to fix it you can do surgery after you're done having kids". I knew that wasn't the only answer and knew my body could heal without surgery. I became a personal trainer, and later a pre and postnatal corrective exercise specialist and I was able to heal my diastasis, as well as create a safe prenatal exercise guide for my second pregnancy.
