I'm 30 weeks today! I honestly can't believe that time has flown by this fast. The little peanut will be with us in NO TIME and i'm only slightly freaking out. We talk about baby brother to Sawyer every day and he always says "Baby Bruddddderrr!" and kisses my belly, then pokes and and says "Hello!!" I am so excited for Sawyer to have a brother, and all the mischief they'll be getting into.
So far this pregnancy has been fairly similar to Sawyers, though I had constant Nausea in the first trimester this pregnancy and with Sawyer it was only a couple of weeks. The constant nausea made working out almost non existent, but I did go on our daily walks and hiked to Machu Picchu at 11 weeks ;) -- SO INCREDIBLE btw.
I started working out regularly at 15 weeks using Becky from @Goodfortheswole's subscription workout guide. It has been so nice to have workouts come to me that are pregnancy safe, challenging and effective. I definitely recommend if you're expecting or a postpartum Mama
Baby boy is still nameless. We have a hard time deciding on names. WHY ARE THEY SO HARD!! We have a goal to have a name picked out by the time he is born (It took us two days to name Sawyer, cue the head smack emoji) And so far we have a few names on our list, which is a great start!!
He's a feisty thing and moves constantly! Like wakes me up at night from moving so much. Though I've noticed him slow down a little bit the past week or so. I think he's just running out of room.
We had a second ultrasound on Wednesday just to check out his heart, he is very healthy and is measuring to be about 3lbs! We got a really sweet picture of his profile and I already think he looks like big brother!
I've been working out about 2-3 times/week, but I've really decided to crack down these last 12 weeks and workout every day. Last week I made it to 4 days a week and this week I've worked out every day! Two of the days (including today) I did LISS & prenatal yoga instead of resistance. To give my body a rest.
I've been feeling really great the past few weeks. I get the occasional heartburn & I've noticed that I'm feeling more tired lately. Probably because I have to get up to pee 3-5 times a night, and little man wakes me up moving so much.
I have not been very disciplined with my eating this pregnancy. But I do make sure to get in lots of veggies, whole grains, healthy fats and of course TREATS. I'm not crazy guys. I'm feeling huge and I can only eat small amounts at a time because I fill up so fast. But give me 30 minutes and I'm ready to eat again.
I'm planning on another natural non-medicated birth. The whole experience with Sawyer was so amazing and I really can't wait to do it again! I've been reading HypnoBirthing by Marie Mongan and have a doula this time. (the whole experience was a little much for my mom and Jeff to handle haha).
A few other things I've been doing to prepare is to say my birthing affirmations every morning and night, prenatal yoga, and resistance training. One thing I did while I was pregnant with Sawyer was read and listen to other women's birth stories. I love "The Birth Hour" podcast. So many wonderful powerful stories about medicated and non-medicated births. I cry every time i listen to them. #emotional
10ish more weeks. I can't wait!!
